Olympic Men’s 100m Freestyle Odds Torn Between World Record Holders

  • Men’s 100m Freestyle odds favor Pan Zhanle of China to win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
  • David Popovici (+175) of Romania recorded two of the three fastest 100m freestyle times ever.
  • Top American Jack Alexy has +550 odds to win the gold medal, but fellow countryman Chris Guiliano (+1000) is the better wager with longer odds.

PARIS – Betting odds for the Men’s 100m Freestyle gold medal favor Pan Zhanle of China with +125 odds. David Popovici’s +175 Olympic betting odds aren’t too far behind as the former 100m Freestyle world record holder.

Pan Zhanle set the current world record (46.80 seconds) for the 100m freestyle during the leadoff leg of the 4 x 100m freestyle relay at the World Aquatics Championships back in March. Popovici added a 46.88-second time during the European Championships final, the third-fastest 100m freestyle time ever behind Pan Zhanle’s 46.80-second and his former world record time of 46.86 seconds.

Chris Guiliano Best Men’s 100m Freestyle Longshot At +1000 Odds

Betting odds rightfully show this will be a two-man race, but American Jack Alexy has the third-shortest Olympic betting odds to win the gold medal at +550. Alexy posted a 47.47-second 100m freestyle at the United States trials, which was good enough for a second-place finish.

It was Chris Guiliano who came away with first place, but aquatic betting odds have him much longer at +1000 odds to win the gold medal. Guiliano posted a 47.38-second winning 100m freestyle time at trials, roughly half a second slower than the top two swimmers based on odds.
